Today I ran the Queen Bee 4-miler. The only goal was to have FUN! I have forgotten how much absolute JOY exists on the Queen Bee course. I have done the Half Marathon a couple of times. The first time I ran it was my second half marathon ever in 2016, and I was terrified. I struggled with runners' knee (I did too much too fast because I didn't have a coach yet!) and barely made it through in about 2:15. The second time I ran it in 2018 in 1:47:12. Both times I was in absolute awe of the women of Cincinnati! We are fierce and fabulous!

Today I had the pleasure of taking on the 4-mile course. I saw friends everywhere! I made a new friend in the parking lot (shout out to Junius!) ran into other Mason rockstars, a co-worker from 3 jobs ago (great job today Nicole!) and even got to put in some miles with one

of my bestie's mamas. On the first half of the race, I ran ahead to cue cheer crews that Nolan was coming, and I made a few "bonus" trips up one of the hills to encourage other runners.

My insight today was that although I love the runners high and a shiny new PR, cheering and coaching is 100x better. I'm psyched about all the chatter with people thinking about Cincinnati's next race, The Flying Pig Marathon / Half Marathon/10K/5K. If you're training for one of those races, I've got an offer for you! I'm offering a 26.2% coupon off your first three months of training. Discount code is PIG2026

See you out there Cincinatti!
