Why do I need a coach?

When I hired my first coach I struggled with the decision. Big time. Was I wasting my money? What would this stranger be able to tell me about running that I couldn’t find through a decent Google search? What about all those free training programs I could find online?

I’m glad I took the advice of a dear friend and made the leap. For me, working harder wasn’t the issue. The best part of having a coach was having someone in my corner who knew when to hold me back. When to add a rest day. How to find what “easy pace“ actually is. (Turns out, it’s wayyyy slower than I thought) This kept me injury free for the first time, and I was able to train consistently, and in each cycle I grew stronger.

Now as a certified coach, I’m armed with so much more information and perspective that I didn’t understand even through years of racing myself. My initial hesitation to hire a coach is still present in my mind and I’m committed to making sure the “value” is clear for my athletes. You’ll see athlete features to see these wins for yourself! Help me cheer them on!

What could you be capable of if you can stay injury free? Let’s find out! Put me in your corner!
